Fashion should be all about feeling good. But for those of us with small children and a full time job, sometimes it’s also about being practical. Something that I can quickly throw on and go for the school run is a must, and that’s where a little pattern and colour can do a lot of the heavy lifting.
Injecting some style into everyday staples can be as easy as making a slightly bolder choice than you normally would.
Pink and red leopard jumper | Next
Black leather pencil skirt | Zara
‘Campo’ trainers | Veja @ Fenwick
‘Bay’ faux croc box bag with acrylic chain | Whistles
Angular sunglasses | Chanel
That’s what happened when I spotted this fabulous jumper. It’s from Next, which isn’t somewhere that I ever usually shop or even have on my radar, but I saw this in a magazine and literally ordered it there and then.
With it's combination of clashing pink and red, leopard print pattern, rainbow cuffs and my favourite high neckline, I knew that this would quickly become a throw-on-and-go favourite for grey days.
Paired with a leather pencil skirt (I’m soooo glad we are now at temperatures that make wearing leather acceptable again!) and a pair of trainers, it couldn’t be easier to wear. I added some favourite shades and a structured box bag and felt like a true school run hun!
